Moong Dal

Ingredients:

Sona Moong Dal : 200 gm
Carrot : 1 piece (chopped & boiled)
Beans : 7 pieces (chopped & boiled)
Coriander leaves : 2 tbsp (chopped)
Tomato : 1 piece (chopped)
Green Chilli : 2 pieces (slit)
Dry red chilli : 1 piece (slit)
Cumin seeds : ½ tsp
Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
Sugar : ½ tsp
Salt : to taste
Oil : 1 tbsp
Ginger paste : 1 tsp
Green peas : ½ cup
Ghee : 1 tbsp

Instructions:

1. Wash & boil the moong dal with 1 ½ cup of water, ½ tsp of salt, ½ tsp of turmeric powder. Keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add red dry chilli & cumin seeds & stir.
3. Add all the vegetables & dal & stir well.
4. Add ginger paste, tomato, salt, sugar, green peas, green chillies & more 1 cup of water.
5. Cook until it boils.
6. Add coriander leaves & ghee & remove from heat.
7. Serve hot with steamed rice.
